This transitional kitchen was a fun project for our designer, Caitlin. She was able to incorporate Quarter Sawn Oak, a very popular new wood that has been hitting the kitchen design scene for a while now. For those that don’t know, quarter sawn white oak is cut in a different way than standard white oak so the grain pattern appears differently. It is much more straight grained than traditional white oak. The white oak paired with the creamy Dove White paint for the perimeter of the kitchen give this home some warmth and brighten the space. The quarter sawn oak was then used in the family’s mudroom giving an appealing look when you walk in the door.
